BIte ME These are my Four birds, are they not adorable, Tigger the first one is a
Scarlet Macaw, I got him when he was eight weeks old. I was still handfeeding
him when I got him, he is 6 months old now and still on 1 feeding a day.
He is a mommy's boy, everytime he sees me he has to fly to me. He will go
to other people, but when his mommy is in the room, he won't have anything
to do with anyone else. Peanut the second one is my Yellow Crown Amazon,
she has a vocabulary of about 50 words, she is 1 year old this month which
is June, 2000 I would not trade her for anything, she loves Leann Rimes
music, really any music but Leann is her favorite. she's everyones bird,
but she loves to tease my Son who is 14, she will say stepup when he walks
by And Josh will hold his hand up to get her and she will bite him and then
start laughing. Then there is Pepper, she is my pride and joy, she will
not go to anyone except for 3 people in the house, we got her when she was
4 1/2 years old she is now 6 years old. When someone comes to our house
she will intimidate them by striking at them with that huge beak, we have
had people say she is the bird from h***, which she can be when she wants
to be, but she also can be a pussycat. She has a vocabulary of about 60
words. She's always saying Give Me a Kiss and smacks real loud just like
a kiss, she is always rubbing her foot across her face and saying Pretty
Bird, she will wave bye, bye to you and say bye, bye while she is waving,
she is one smart bird. The day I got Pepper was when I was going to pick
up a baby Yellow collar Macaw, the baby was so small I was scared to take
it, it would have been my first bird, and I wanted to make the right decision,
so my husband and I went out of the nursery to talk about it, and Pepper
had grabbed my shirt when I walked by and pulled me up to her cage and said
Hello. Well it was love at first site, so we took her home. Then there is
Peaches, we just got her, she is 7 weeks old, and a Yellow Nape Amazon,
she is a sweetheart. I have Angel now she is a Moluccon Cockatoo and so
very, very sweet. I had her flown in from Texas. She was born on Christmas
Day, thus the name Angel. She is 7 months old now and just a cuddle bunny,
she loves for you to hug her and hold her. She will go to anyone as long
as they will hold her. She does require more attention then the other birds
I have. But I don't mind because she is so loving. I have also recently
purchased a new blue and gold baby. Look at the new section I have on watching
my baby grow, he/she is 2 weeks old now, does not have his eyes open yet.
I am handfeeding him now. So I am going to try to post pictures every week
so that you can watch him grow. Now I have six birds and love everyone of
them the same. Please go look at the other pictures I have of my birds,
on the other pages. I hope you enjoy meeting my birds, as much as I enjoy
having my birds. Birds are not easy to raise they demand a lot of attention,
so if you don't have the attention to pay these birds, please do not get
one. There are to many birds out there, that are in a rescue home because
the people who had them found out they were harder to care for than what
they thought they would be. Please don't forget to go look at the rest of
our pictures, our mommy thought it would be best to put them on a seperate
page so that our home page does not take so long to load.

Please don't forget to sign my guestbook so I know that you dropped by Thank
you

Please put this dove on your website, It is the dove of peace. It has many
meanings, and they are all different, for each person. I put this dove on
my page, to share with all the people, that I love, and who are Lost. Please
load it onto your page, and let everyone else know it's purpose.
Now that you have finished looking at our pretty babies, I want to say something.
PLEASE if you decide to take a bird of any type into your home, know that
this animal may out live you. Make sure you read all that you can
read on the type of bird (or any animal) that you may take in. When
you think you are done reading, get another book, or two, three. Please
these beautiful birds are dying everyday because people just did not realize
or care that they require A LOT of work. Hundreds of birds are moved
to basements, into the back room, out of earshot, not fed correctly, dirty
water .. DUMPED because their owners just don't care anymore. Visit
here to see what I am
talking about. Sometimes the foundation is hard to get into, so please
hit refresh and keep trying.
Some of you may already be aware of this but for those that aren't, Some
people are on a mission right now & doing their best to raise public awareness
about some very cruel & inhumane procedures being done to parrots. Someone
has published an entire webpage about these procedures on their website
& encourage anyone that want's to learn more about them, to visit this page
I was shocked...appalled...and downright ticked off that this could EVEN
be considered a treatment of aggression in male cockatoos. Then, I learned
more about "de-voicing/de-crowing" which is also being done to parrots.
This is extremely horrible and many parrots do not even survive the procedure.
Take a look at the big picture when it comes to the care & well being of
ALL parrots that are in captivity and work on establishing better laws to
protect them against abuse/neglect. I've learned, after much research the
past month, that our parrots aren't really protected much against abuse/neglect.
And we all know that when we do try to report incidents of abuse/neglect,
the authorities have no clue what constitutes abuse so most of the parrots
involved in the report...are left in the hands of the abusers.
